ampleShop™ version 2.5 released!

The July release of ampleShop" ecommerce software now in its 2.5 version brings forward the following improvements/features:

  • Subscriptions Module
  • Auctions Module
  • New Storefront template framework using a centralized file to include all the other functional pages thus totally separating the content
  • All storefront labels now stored in one file "includes/labels/English.cfm". This will greatly facilitate the storefront internationalization and customization process for the developers and store owners. The labels contain markup that is replaced by their corresponding dynamic equivalent in the order in which they were passed to the component. The markup in the label definition is similar to the following string: "Hallo {1} {2}. Thank you for signing up for account at {3} store.". In the run time the markup will be replaced by dynamic value and the result will be the similar to the following string: "Hallo Joe Doe. Thank you for signing up for account at Amplecom store."
  • Storefront appearance is now configurable through the includes/navigation/navigationSettings.cfm file allowing to toggle the display of the side includes from one central location. The file names and paths of the available include pages are stored into variables. Passing the literal value of the variables coma separated list to the page configuration variables will load this includes in runtime.
  • Added several new filters for browsing by product types, new releases, discounted products, most popular products, browse by manufacturer and featured items
  • Greater use of CSS to control the look of the site.
  • All storefront forms now rely on XHTML standards for table-less forms
  • ampleShop" Store Manager Guide released as PDF and Html Help formats (new button added in the Store Management Console in the top left corner that opens the HTML Help application)

ampleShop" 2.5 Shopping Cart Auctions Module

The ampleShop" Auctions Module add-on is now available for separate purchase along with the ampleShop" 2.5 standard update release for the ISP and the Single Store license models. The auctions module is targeted as a small to mid-level size level software product tightly integrated with the catalog management and the reporting tools of the standard ecommerce software engine.

The key features of the Auctions Module add-on include:

  • Auctions management console for modifying all auctions from one centralized location.
  • Integration of online auctions with the database of store customers.
  • Silent auto-increment bid
  • Customer bid increment alert
  • Bid increment limit
  • Buy now price
  • Bid sheet generation

The auctions module integrates tightly with the existing ampleShop software infrastructure so the store owners can leverage from all the standard ampleShop" features such as payment gateways, inventory and shipping modules and reporting tools.

ampleShop" 2.5 Shopping Cart Subscriptions Module

The ampleShop" Subscriptions Module is now available in the standard release of ampleShop" 2.5 standard release and as free update from the ampleShop" 2.1 version for both the ISP and the Single Store license models.

The key features of the Subscriptions Module add-on include:

  • Define subscription option for any product
  • Set the following recurrence intervals - Annual, Semi Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Biweekly, Weekly
  • Charge additional onetime only setup fee
  • Specify the number of billings for subscription - Unlimited, Specific number of times, Once, No-Recurrence
  • Prevent access to a pages requiring active subscription
  • Full integration with the backend order management, customer relationship management and the front end shopping cart system
