  1. How can we contact you?

  2. Can ampleShop" be hosted in a shared hosting environment?
    Yes, most of our current clients are hosting their ampleShop" software in shared hosting environments. To avoid conflicts among different instances of ColdFusion installations, simply make sure that you select original names for each instance.
  3. What are the usage terms for ampleShop" software?
    Briefly: The Single Store License entitles you to one store/instance. The Multi-Store License entitles you to one installation per server/CPU. You can host multiple stores on your server/CPU with each additional store charged with a one time fee. We reserve the right to change this price at any time.
  4. Can I upload my existing product database when I install ampleShop"?
    Yes, you can. We are very aggressive when it comes to migrating clients from other shopping cart platforms. We have developed a powerful suite of database management tools allowing near-effortless imports from any structured product CSV file.
  5. Can ampleShop" import my Categories and different product options from my old store/database?
    While ampleShop" can import product attribute lists and Category IDs, you must first populate your product spreadsheets with newly created ampleShop category IDs and then save it as a CSV. You can then import the data into your ampleShop database. We offer several documents as well as flash video tutorials explaining how product attributes are created and then imported into your new application.
  6. How many products can I have in my catalog?
    Since ampleShop" runs with one of the market's most powerful database systems, MS SQL Server 2000 and higher or MySql, product catalogs can be very large. Realistically, there is no limit to the number of products you can have in your catalog. Some clients have as many as 500,000 products in their online store and sustain no server performance sacrifice.
  7. Can I try ampleShop" before I buy?
    Certainly! We offer a full-featured demo version of our product for testing and evaluation. To obtain instant demo access, please fill out the demo request form.
  8. What are the fees for the non-hosted solutions?
    ampleShop" offers two license types, both of which include the application source code:
    Single Store License $149 - Each additional store costs $149
    Multiple Store License call for pricing - One store is included.
    Note: Web server hardware, operating system, web server or application server software, internet connection, and database server licenses are not included with the ampleShop" license purchase.
  9. Can you assist me during my first ampleShop" installation?
    Yes, we will gladly provide this service free of charge for our first time clients. However, most of our clients do not need assistance in installing ampleShop" on their servers as we provide a detailed installation manual accompanied by a flash video presentation.
  10. Can I customize the store look and feel?
    ampleShop" customization is intended, primarily, as an option for developers with some ColdFusion, HTML and CSS experience. However, we follow a strict separation of backend logic and presentation layer elements. This way, the ampleShop" default store template is easily customized and maintained by web designers with little or no knowledge of server side scripting.
  11. Do you provide customization services?
    Yes, we have completed numerous projects for small and large eCommerce enterprises. In addition to hiring Amplecom directly, you can also contact one of our Certified Integration Partners and request a service quote.
  12. Can I access the support documentation before I purchase your software?
    Yes, if you strongly want to. Simply email us and we will create temporary access through which you can get a sneak preview of the available product documentation.
  13. What other software aside from ampleShop" will I need to run my store?
    You will need a ColdFusion MX+ server with MS SQL 2000 or higher or MySQL database running on a MS Windows OS.
  14. What support plans do you offer after I purchase ampleShop"?
    The successful deployment of ampleShop eCommerce projects is a huge credit for our company. We take special care in supporting our fellow developers and we are always willing to share our expertise with them. ampleShop is designed on an open platform so that a thriving community of developers can deliver our software in their own personalized way. For companies and developers who have special needs we offer managed, fee-based consultation services for any in-house development projects.
  15. Will ampleShop" become obsolete when newer versions of server software are released?
    We strive to improve our software and maintain as much new functionally as the newest server-side application and operating system version. This is especially true when it pertains to ColdFusion server functionality. Our development team always includes at least one member of the ColdFusion beta testing team.
  16. Where can I get updates in the future?
    Any update patches and releases can be obtained via the client login. You will be given a username/password after you purchase our product.
  17. What credit card processors are supported?
    Authorize.net, PayFlow Pro, QuickCommerce Pro, PayPal and 2checkout. We have an ongoing relationship with these solution providers and we guarantee that we will change as do their API. We also strive to develop new partnerships as new payment processing gateway providers become available.
  18. We are a Payment Gateway company we would like to offer you to integrate our gateway with ampleShop .
    We receive many requests like this. We do not accept any affiliation proposals! Most integrations (Authorize.NET like) will cost around $300. Please do not call. Send us an email, and if you can include documentation we will quote you.
  19. I am a developer and I would like to integrate a different Payment Gateway Processor with ampleShop"?
    You can do this. We have compiled a developers guide soley for this purpose. If you don't know how to you don't have the time call us for a quote and we will do it for you. You can expect tested and fully integrated processor in less then one week.
  20. Does ampleShop(t) encrypt the credit card data?
    Credit card number encryption is set as the default in our standard release. The store administrator can only see the last four digits of the credit card in the orders management system.
  21. I am processing credit cards offline. Can I configure the gateway settings for this?
    Yes, we offer a solution called Offline Payment. With this solution you can login to the store administration console to capture the credit card data.
  22. Does ampleShop" support SSL encryption technology / can I host stores under shared SSL?
    Yes it does, and yes you can! In order to avoid having to copy all the files from one location to another, simply point the SSL directory to the root of your website. However we do recommend you buy your own SSL so as to reduce issues with cookies being blocked by the latest browser versions.
